For more than 55 years, the Uusikaupunki plant has operated as a vehicle contract manufacturer, but now, Valmet Automotive is expanding business beyond automotive industry, and offering its decades of experience and serial manufacturing expertise to other industrial sectors.
In December, the company announced a collaboration agreement with two Finnish defense sector operators, Patria and Sisu Auto. These are clear strategic entries into a new industry. In addition to the automotive and defense sectors, the company is actively exploring future business opportunities from other high-tech industrial sectors.
