Valmet Automotive launches today a recruitment of 400 car builders for the Uusikaupunki car plant. The car sales are growing rapidly, and Valmet Automotive will be recruiting on a very urgent schedule. With rising production volumes, the new car builders will be needed at work already by the end of January. Online application is available on Valmet Automotive’s website.

Valmet Automotive is launching an exceptional, large recruitment in the present economic circumstances. The recruitment is due to the rapidly brightening views of the Uusikaupunki car plant. The increase in production volumes that began in late summer are continuing and will settle at a level where 400 new car builders are needed for various production tasks.

The recruitment schedule is challenging, with only seven weeks to recruit 400 new employees so they can be trained for their jobs. The recruitment will again cover the whole of Finland, with special focus of attention and measures on areas with high unemployment rate.

– The uncertainty in the Finnish economy has not yet been reflected in a significant increase in the number of applicants. Valmet Automotive’s message is now that our recruitment is an exceptional opportunity to find new employment, and to change jobs flexibly, says Pasi Rannus, SVP Manufacturing, Valmet Automotive.

The corona virus poses an additional challenge to the recruitment, forcing the campaign measures online. The campaign will be promoted through various online channels, and meetings, for example, are carried out virtually through webinars. The online application for open positions is available on Valmet Automotive’s website.

Additional personnel are needed for all car plant production departments, i.e. body shop, paint shop, general assembly and internal logistics. Valmet Automotive gives training to all applicants for their positions. Previous work experience is valued, but the applicant does not need to have previous knowledge in car industry.
