Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, who has made a long career in the Volkswagen Group, has joined the Valmet Automotive Board of Directors.
During his career, Dr. Hackenberg has worked in managerial product development duties at Audi, Volkswagen and Bentley. Between the years 1985 and 1998 he served, inter alia, as a member of the top management on such projects as the Audi A4, A6, A8 and TT. He then moved to Volkswagen until 2002 where he was responsible for the body development, safety and concept vehicles. Between the years 2003 and 2007 he carried out similar tasks incl. electric/electronics at Audi, before leading from 2008 the Volkswagen Brand’s R&D team. In addition to the product development of the conventional vehicles, Dr. Hackenberg has been responsible for the development of hybrid and electric cars, as well as the development of the Paris-Dakar and Le Mans racing cars. Since 2007 he has also worked with several organizations as a professional board member.
Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg joined the Valmet Automotive Board of Directors on August 10, 2016.
