Quality management

Valmet Automotive has one of the highest assembly quality performances in the automotive industry. Quality development and assurance are integrated into product development and the manufacturing process through advanced quality planning.

The quality management system of Valmet Automotive is based on the business process approach and meets all the requirements of the automotive industry. The system is certified against the global ISO/TS 16949:2002 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental management standard. It meets also the requirements of the OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety management standard.

The quality system has been developed using ISO 9001 related standards as a guideline. In March 1999 the company achieved the QS-9000 Quality Certificate specific to the automotive industry. The ISO/TS 16949 Quality Certificate was granted to Valmet Automotive in 2003 among the first car manufacturers in Europe.

Besides the quality systems the demands set by the customers give the guidelines to the activities of Valmet Automotive.
