During the feasibility phase a detailed design is created and the selected concept is optimized. Engineers develop (CAD 2D/3D) and validate (CAE, mock-up tests) the product, elaborate the manufacturing process, perform quality analyses, create necessary documentation to allow the project to continue into the serial development phase.

The cost optimization has a central role during this phase, guiding the search for optimized solutions.

The concluding Quality Gate review approves the project for serial development. The approval is based on committed targets (technical, costs, quality, timing).

Project Plan and project commitment are duly documented and approved.
