Valmet Automotive opens a global sourcing unit in Sweden

Valmet Automotive will establish an office in Gothenburg as part of the strategic development of the company's services. The new unit, opening June 4th, will provide the company's current and future projects with procurement services of car material. The responsibilities cover global sourcing and assessment of potential new suppliers.

Ms. Åsa Bergman has been appointed Manager, Procurement and will head the global sourcing unit. Åsa reports to Mr. Tomi Arola, Vice President, Procurement and Logistics. Mr. Juha Liimula now working in Uusikaupunki will join Åsa's team.

Åsa has a long experience as procurement manager at Volvo Cars Company where she has also held positions in manufacturing engineering and in Gent factory in Belgium. She has a degree from the Technical University of Chalmers in Gothenburg.

In Uusikaupunki Ms. Sari Salonen is responsible for the procurement of general material and Mr. Juha Ojala for the procurement of car material for the current production. They also report to Tomi Arola.
